We use your browser's localStorage only to remember interface preferences such as dark or light
theme selection. That value stays on your device until you remove it through your browser settings.
Some pages load libraries or fonts from trusted third-party CDNs. Those requests may expose your IP address and basic browser metadata to those providers. Your files and tool inputs still stay local to your device.

Because user content is processed locally and not stored on our servers, the risk of a server-side data breach affecting your files is reduced by design. We also use HTTPS to protect the connection between your browser and our website.
Because we generally do not collect personal data beyond limited server logs, there is usually little or no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. LightDarkTools is operated from India. If you access the site from another country, limited information such as standard server log data may be processed in India.
Standard server access logs that may incidentally contain IP addresses are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes, after which they are deleted or rotated out. We do not retain user-generated content from the tools.
