By accessing or using any part of LightDarkTools.com (the "Website") or any tool offered on it (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). LightDarkTools offers a suite of free, browser-based utility tools, currently including:

Universal Diff Tool - local text and file comparison.
Secure QR Code Generator - local QR code creation.
App & Play Store Screenshot Maker - local screenshot framing and export.
Make PDF Mobile Friendly - local PDF restructuring for smaller-screen reading.
PassCrypt - an offline Android password manager presented as a separate mobile application.

All web-based tools operate entirely within your browser unless a page clearly states otherwise.

3. Eligibility and Access

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful in your jurisdiction.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful and authorized purposes. You must not:

Upload, process, or generate content that infringes any third-party intellectual property right.
Use the Service to create fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading materials.
Process content depicting minors in any inappropriate or unlawful manner.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or systematically abuse the Service.
Circumvent security measures or use the Service to introduce malware or malicious code.
Use the Service in violation of applicable law or regulation.

5. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any images, PDFs, text, or files you process through our tools. Because processing is client-side, that content is generally not transmitted to or stored by us. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights, permissions, and licenses for the content you use.

All original source code, branding, design, and website content that we create remain the intellectual property of LightDarkTools unless otherwise stated.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Outputs generated by the tools, including images, PDFs, comparisons, and QR codes, will always be accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular use case.
Defects or errors will always be corrected.
The Service or supporting infrastructure will always be free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LIGHTDARKTOOLS, ITS OWNER, DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN ANY CASE, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO (INR 0), BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LightDarkTools and its owner, developers, contributors, and affiliates from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services and Content

Some tools rely on third-party libraries and services delivered via CDNs, including:

Cloudflare CDN - libraries such as PDF.js, JSZip, Prism, JsDiff, Mammoth, and SheetJS.
jsDelivr CDN - libraries such as Bootstrap and pdf-lib.
Google Fonts - typography assets used by some interfaces.

Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability, behavior, or independent data handling.

10. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that activity on our Service infringes your rights, contact lightdarktools@gmail.com with a detailed description of the issue. Because our tools are client-side and we do not store user content, our ability to investigate may be limited.

11. Modifications and Discontinuation

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
